What is the difference between MicroBreath™ PE and PP breathable films?
While both PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) belong to our MicroBreath™ microporous series, they offer distinct physical properties tailored for different manufacturing requirements and end-use environments.
MicroBreath™ PE
Engineered for maximum cloth-like softness and flexibility. PE film has a lower melting point, making it highly compatible with high-speed lamination and thermal bonding in hygiene production.
MicroBreath™ PP
Provides superior mechanical strength and dimensional stability. PP film can withstand higher processing temperatures and offers higher tensile resistance, ensuring the film doesn’t deform under stress.
Expert Verdict: Choose PE if your priority is “hand-feel” and skin-contact comfort. Choose PP if your application demands high durability, heat resistance, or integration into rigid automated packaging lines.
