2. Manufacturing Technology

Can the film be embossed, and why is that useful for industrial applications?

Yes. At Kae Hwa Industrial, we provide customizable embossing patterns for our breathable films during the precision casting process. This technique is strategically used to modify the film’s surface energy and mechanical behavior, solving critical processing issues such as material “blocking” and enhancing the tactile comfort required for high-end hygiene and medical products.

Tactile Engineering (Cloth-like Touch)

By creating a micro-textured surface, embossing significantly reduces the plastic feel of PE films. This delivers the soft, cloth-like touch essential for diaper backsheets and surgical gowns, improving user comfort without affecting the material’s underlying breathability or waterproof integrity.

Mechanical Stability & Anti-Blocking

In high-speed automated production, smooth films can experience surface “sticking.” Our embossing process increases dimensional stability and creates air gaps between layers, ensuring smooth winding and unwinding on your converting lines and preventing production downtime.
