Kae Hwa Knowledge Center

Breathable Film Technology & Industry FAQ Guide

Knowledge Center/3. Certifications & Standards

Can Kae Hwa’s waterproof and breathable films be fully recycled?

Yes. Kae Hwa Industrial is dedicated to circular manufacturing. Many of our materials, particularly our Polyethylene (PE) and Polypropylene (PP) based membranes, are designed for full recyclability through mono-material engineering and advanced non-filler technologies, ensuring a reduced environmental footprint without compromising technical performance.

Technical Recyclability Advantages

♻️

Mono-Material Strategy

By aligning our PE or PP films with compatible nonwoven substrates, we create single-polymer structures that can be fully recycled as a whole, eliminating the need for energy-intensive material separation.

🔬

PP Non-Filler Technology

Our innovative Breathable PP Film (Non-Filler) uses crystalline stretching instead of mineral additives. This results in a powder-free, non-toxic, and highly pure polymer that is significantly easier to reintegrate into recycling streams.

🍃

Solvent-Free Safety

We utilize integrated solvent-free bonding technology, ensuring that no VOC emissions or chemical residues contaminate the recycling process, protecting both the environment and the end-user.

🌍

GRS Supply Chain

We actively incorporate Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certified post-consumer recycled resins into our manufacturing, closing the loop from raw material sourcing to end-of-life repurposing.

Pioneer in Sustainable Protection

Our latest polyolefin microporous membranes combine high performance with environmental responsibility. Experience our powder-free and PFC-free innovations today.
